County Judge’s Office

The Honorable Van Russell serves as the Franklin County Judge. The County Judge’s office is responsible for the administration of justice for Franklin County Court. County court jurisdiction includes small claims and county civil up to $15,000, traffic and misdemeanors, uncontested dissolutions, and first appearances. The office also assists circuit court in uncontested probate, name changes and adoptions.
