BOCC Emergency Meeting

The Franklin County Board of County Commissioners will meet in Special Emergency Session on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. (ET) in the commission meeting room located at 34 Forbes Street, Apalachicola, Florida, to discuss and consider action on the following:

  1. Emergency Management Update on Hurricane Ian
  2. Local State of Emergency Declaration
  3. Traci Buzbee – Update on new FEMA reimbursement rules
  4. Closing of County Offices due to weather conditions
  5. Cancellation of September 30, 2022, Special Meeting

Public participation is encouraged either by attending in person or virtually.  Information to participate virtually (Zoom) is on the meeting’s agenda (https://www.franklincountyflorida.com/resources/agendas-minutes/).

The meeting room is handicap accessible; however, those persons who may require special assistance to attend the public meeting must plan in advance by calling Deputy Clerk Jessica Gay at (850) 653-8861, x100 in advance of the meeting.

Any person who wishes to appeal a decision by the Franklin County Board of County Commissioners with respect to any matter considered at the meeting must have a record of the proceedings.  He or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made.
