Flood Protection Information

Franklin County borders the Gulf of Mexico, the Apalachicola Bay and River, Carrabelle River and many other water bodies.  These natural features contribute to the beauty and biodiversity found in Franklin County, but also increases the risk of experiencing flooding from storm surge and prolonged heavy rains.  Living in this area, it is very important to be prepared for the possibility of a flood on your property and in your community.  Please use the links below to provide you with flood information, as well as some precautionary measure we urge you to take before, during and after a flood to help protect yourself, your family and your belongings.
